Help With Science Fair Experiments
If you are a teacher, parent, or student and struggling with ideas for science fair projects or wondering how to get started, the following resources may be helpful to you.
Resources from the JMU Biology Outreach Team
ADVICE ON SCIENCE FAIR PROJECTS - how to design, conduct, and report a science fair experiment. (PDF format)
SCIENCE PROJECT PROPOSAL - A sample project with point-by-point discussion of how to proceed. (PDF format)
Potential Experiments using Plants
Why work with plants? They don't bite you, poop in the cage, or have the restrictions that you face when working with animals. They are easy to obtain and most are inexpensive so you can have large sample sizes for your experiment. Why not give them a try?
