The Harrisonburg SPCA is always looking for Pet Socializers.  An orientation class is required before you begin.  After that, your volunteer schedule is up to you!

Many of the Veterinary Hospitals/Animal Clinics in Harrisonburg are open to students coming in to observe or shadow vets. This is a good way to find out if you are really interested in Veterinary Medicine. Contact an office to ask for permission to visit and times that will work for them. Some clinics might also have part-time positions available. If you are interested, the best strategy is to visit some or all of them in person and either file an application or leave a CV.
