At JMU, our faculty are recognized for their work through various accolades and awards that they receive. The three highest faculty awards in our college are:

addition, our faculty members are recognized at regional and national
levels for their dedication to teaching and scholarly activity.
For example, in 2004, Grace Wyngaard,
Biology
Department
was elected a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science "for distinguished and innovative leadership at the National Science Foundation during the embryonic stage of integrative biology and biocomputing, for developing NSF programs in environmental biology, and for research on chromatin diminution in copepods."
