Established in 1908, James Madison University (JMU) currently has an enrollment of approximately 15,000 students and more than 700 faculty members. Several national publications have consistently cited JMU as one of the best undergraduate universities in the country. For eight consecutive years, JMU has been the highest ranked public comprehensive university in the U.S. News and World Report in the south.

The College of Science and Mathematics is one of the five colleges at JMU. With an enrollment of approximately 1100 students and 110 fulltime faculty, we prepare students for the work force, graduate and professional studies.
