ACS CERTIFIED MATERIALS CHEMISTRY DEGREE

Chemistry majors who are interested in materials science can earn an American Chemical Society (ACS) certified degree in Chemistry with emphasis in Materials Chemistry. JMU is one of only a handful of schools nationwide to offer this certification. The official requirements can be found in the current university catalog, but are summarized below.
